First off, thank you to everyone who has already played & given feedback on A Hero in the Cards! It's a game with a lot of moving pieces, and it's incredibly helpful to get additional eyes on it.

To that end, the major addition in the Second Version (V2) is the Ask the Cards mechanic. Since the game is focused on not overwhelming players with too many choices or mechanics of play to memorize, we thought it would be helpful to provide an optional tool for both Heroes and DM's to use that can direct them in the stories & roles they're playing.

This mechanic, and the details associated with it, will also be the lens through which all published Settings will convey the details of their worlds. You can see the first one, a Shakespearean & fairy-laden setting called In Fae Verona, here! We plan to release additional Settings in the near future.
